In one of their last details as tournament chairmen, Jim Mason and Tom Blank presented a check on behalf of the John R. Williams Tournament committee in the amount of $40,000 to Hugh Rundle, Golf Committee Chair, and the rest of the Board members at the Wil-Am dinner to put towards the expenses incurred by the reconstruction of the bridge on the 13th hole on the East Course. At the middle of the bridge, a plaque in Dr. John R. William’s memory has been placed to commemorate his work, as it was by his hand that many of Oak Hill’s trees were planted.
